Preparing for your hunt:

Practice shooting your weapon. There are endless options for calibers, brands, bows, etc. What matters most is that you are accurate with what you have. For deer our shots average 150 yards, however the farther you are comfortable shooting, the more opportunities you could have. For turkey, shots average 25 yards. We highly recommend a choke specifically designed for turkey or a full choke. Check the pattern on your turkey gun before you arrive.
Become familiar with our hunting regulations. Regulations vary widely across the United States, so please read over ours at link below.
Contact us with any questions or concerns. Our goal is to have everyone on the same page so that there are no surprises or disappointments during your hunt. If you have any questions about how hunts are conducted or any special requests of any kind, don't hesitate to contact us.

Extra Ammunition. Sometimes weapons need to be re sighted in.
Quality Optics. Our terrain is extremely open and game can be seen for vast distances. We primarily hunt by sight, even for turkey hunts. Good binoculars are a must and spotting scopes help as well.
Range Finder.
Blaze Orange. For deer hunts, a hat and vest are both required. For quail hunts, either a hat or a vest. No orange is required for dove or turkey hunts.
Snake Boots. We have a high population of rattlesnakes so we recommend bringing snake boots or chaps for dove,turkey and early season deer hunts.
Shooting Rest. For deer and turkey, quality rests will be very useful. We do a fair amount of spot and stalk. We recommend shooting sticks,pods, tripods, etc.. Whatever you are comfortable with and can easily carry. Make sure you practice using your rest before you come.
Proper Clothing. Be sure and look at weather forecasts and pack accordingly. The weather can fluctuate drastically here in just hours time.
Hunting License, and Tags if required.
Hunting Seat. This is only if you have a certain seat you prefer to use for either our archery deer hunts, or our dove hunts. Chairs are already provided in deer blinds.
